Battling With Your Shadow

As children, we learn to fear the dark.

As adults we are told to avoid things that are negative, unpleasant and “offensive.”

It is always easier to face your darkness than to bury it. The effort to keep it under wraps will exhaust you and inevitably fail.
It is always easier to face your darkness than to bury it. The effort to keep it under wraps will exhaust you and inevitably fail.

Yet, the darkness can be our greatest ally and teacher. We learn when we look at it. We face our fears and grow stronger. We become more balanced and peaceful when we make peace with what we perceive as “the enemy within.”

It takes more energy to wall up our fears than to face them when they come up. Eventually, the wall breaks and the darkness that was trapped behind them has grown stronger from the battle.

You never face your fears alone. The Angels stand beside you, guaranteeing you a victory. It might not be the one you imagined, but when you ask for and act on their guidance, you are sure to come out a “winner.”
