Can You Spare Five Minutes?

Many spiritual seekers will tell you that they know all about meditation. They may have studied multiple kinds of meditation practice under different spiritual leaders of different traditions.

They can tell you amazing experiences they had at workshops and in classes, but ask them if they have meditated recently and they might say, “I just don’t have the time.”

While you may not have unlimited hours in the day, you can probably find at least 5 minutes. It can be during a break at work, when the kids are napping or right when you wake up in the morning.

You don’t have to assemble an altar and arrange crystals and burn incense (if you have the time, money and inclination, go for it), you only need a quiet, comfortable place to sit and breathe.

Just do that. If you have five minutes right now, sit and close your eyes and focus on your breath. That’s all you have to do and you have meditated. You can take it further and pre-pave your day with intentions of success, or ask your Angels for direction and guidance or energetically shield yourself to keep yourself clear from negative situations and people.

Meditation is an important step in both psychic development and spiritual growth. So important, that you probably won’t get far without it. Fortunately, it is easy. Sit quietly, and breathe.

If you need a bit more inspiration, you can start with Archangel Anael’s Pyramid of Protection. It will quiet your mind, remove negativity and ease your stress.
