New Moon in Libra/ Venus Retrograde

Our new moon this month is in the sign of Libra. As we enter a new moon, we come to a cycle of manifestation. This cycle is about balance.

On a national and global scale, we are looking at a balance between the masculine and feminine, which we have seen in a big way this week.

So, for the next two weeks, we can think about the ways we can bring more balance into our lives. Do we balance work with play? Do we balance stress with relaxation? Is our diet a healthy mix of nutrient dense foods with an occasional “treat” allowed?

The key player in the stars this month (and half of next), is Venus retrograde.

The bad news is: some of us may be in for a bumpy ride. The good news is: we are taking a ride out to fix the potholes in the road.

The retrograde begins in the transformational sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is the Sherlock Holmes of the Zodiac. If there are things to be uncovered, Scorpio will find them. Scorpio can be quite blunt, and unforgiving, but in the end, the changes are in your best interest, if you choose to make them.

Forewarned is forearmed. When you feel your stress and emotions rising. Stop and take a breath.

Call in your guides and ask for the wisdom to speak with love. To tell your truth, but not in such a way as to cause unnecessary harm. Remember, the other person is having a different experience than you are. You have an opportunity to find out why they react the way they do. It may make you rethink your own reactions when what you thought was done out of meanness was actually just a misunderstanding.

We are seeing a lot of things come up due to the recent Supreme Court Justice hearing. Men and women on both sides are expressing strong feelings that the other side perhaps has not heard. Women who thought they were alone, have discovered that they share a common bond of pain with others around the country and around the world.

Men are finding that they have to monitor their behavior around women and it is a new experience for them.

While the next few weeks might be emotional and uncomfortable, they are necessary to bring up a dialogue we have avoided for several thousands of years.

It's about time we had this talk. We need to clear the air, claim our power and prepare a better experience for both men and women, where there is understanding, compassion and respect.

The new moon is a dark time, but it is always darkest before the dawn.
