Anger, resentment and impatience are all different shades of fear.
Fear is not a bad thing. A fear of wild animals may keep you from playing with poisonous snakes or trying to pet a bear.
Fear is a warning. When we get a warning, we have an opportunity to do something about it. It may be moving to a safer location or rethinking our ideas and beliefs.
The basis of fear is that something that is not “us” is in control and we must act to stop it. Making the decision to face the fear (moving, rethinking things etc) gives us the power back.
When someone cuts you off in traffic, you have the power to slow down to avoid an accident. You can sit in your car and scream, assuming that “they” are out to get you, or you can take a breath, be grateful that you have good reflexes and instincts and keep driving. If you continue to feel bad about it, you have just given this person control of your emotions. Are you willing to let someone who behaved “badly” in your eyes, control your feelings? Do you know that they have not, recently, lost a loved one? Are terminally ill? Or, simply, misjudged the distance between you?
When you feel “off,” angry, sad, depressed, ask your Angels to show you what you are afraid of so that you can face it and act accordingly.
Freedom from fear is the ultimate freedom.
