Valentine's Day: When You're Not Feeling the Love

Valentines Day!It's the holiday you love or hate depending on your romantic situation. People get depressed and hopeless. They run after anyone they can find just so they are not the one, “alone on Valentine's Day.” Some people, having lost a partner due to death are left feeling ostracized by society, being forced to view the romantic gestures and over-the-top demonstrations that remind them of those they have lost and bring new grief to the surface. If you are in a relationship, it can cause problems too. What if your significant other forgets? Or gets you something inappropriate? Meditation: The Best Medicine

Are you feeling beat up from all of these crazy, cosmic events? You are not a victim of the stars, you are a star and you can shine your light or you can run and hide.  If you are reading this, you probably would rather shine.  You can be part of the world and still retain the ability to detach, just a bit, when things get rough. Don't get angry with me!" etc. We bring this practice into adulthood and end up in bad relationships, dead end jobs and in the doctor's office. Emotions are the language of the soul. They are communication without words. We can feel the emotions of others in a form of telepathy. Emotions connect us to the Divine and show us our spiritual gifts. While you cannot have a tantrum or cry every time you feel overwhelmed, you can turn that energy into productive action, like cleaning the house when you are angry or taking a walk or run. You can channel those emotions into art or music, writing...

The Care and Feeding of Humans

A person who is seeking your reaction, is feeding a type of hunger. The angry person wants a reason to be angry. They may seek you out as a target of their emotion or a nemesis who will feed it. A perpetually sad person may want to make you sad so they will not feel alone. You can validate the emotion without having to take it on. If you are on a special food program for health, no one can force you to eat a piece of cake. The choice is yours. No one can force you to take on their emotions. Acknowledge the emotion, but always act, or walk away, with love. Just as a child having a tantrum,...
